The mission of the Rice African Student Association is to encourage a spirit of unity, curiosity, and respect amongst its members and the campus community. We will do so by actively promoting the diverse cultures, histories, and nuances found on the African continent through events and collaborations with like-minded groups and individuals. We will also work to serve members of our immediate Houston community and, similarly, our extended community on the African continent. We will strive to provide a network of support for all members, linking them to other students, alumni, faculty, and leaders in the community as needed. Finally, we will support each other in academics, athletics, and all social aspects of life, truly exuding the essence of the RASA family.
